Benjamin Rabbit Nursery at Holborough Lakes is a purpose built ground floor nursery that was built as part of the Holborough Lakes complex of homes. It had been a nursery previously under another provider but we have taken this on in August 2018 and want to develop an outstanding nursery. The nursery can cater for up to 72 children based on the Ofsted space requirements.
The nursery is well located for access to Snodland train station and local bus routes. There is parking on site for children to be dropped off at the nursery and for staff parking. There are local shops in Snodland and the nursery is also near to Maidstone, Rochester and Chatham for a wider range of shopping opportunities.
As the nursery is purpose built it has good ground floor facilities and can cater for babies through to pre-school. The layout of the nursery allows for a separate room for babies and young toddlers and another large room which is partitioned for preschool and older toddlers. There are two separate well equipped play areas for children which are directly accessed from the rooms. In addition there are plenty of open spaces within the residential complex to allow the children to access additional play areas under supervision.
The nursery is well decorated and equipped with excellent resources for your child to play and learn. There is also a nursery kitchen which will deliver healthy nutritional meals cooked on site, a management office and staff rest area. The nursery has both children and adult toilet facilities.
Our focus is on quality childcare with excellent learning opportunities through both structured and free play activities delivered by trained and knowledgeable staff. We will be serving healthy food cooked on site that has been devised by a children’s nutritionist. We aim to work in partnership with parents or carers and the wider community. There is a monthly newsletter to inform all parents of what is happening in the nursery, key workers for all children to liaise with parents and carers about an individual child’s progress and regular parents/carers meetings.
The nursery is open from 7.00am to 7.00pm and we are able to offer both the 15 hour and 30 hours funded education sessions with a range of options including stretch funding over 51 weeks and privately funded placements.
